Distributor Rebuilding Service

Classic & Exotic Service, Inc. specializes in rebuilding distributors with points and condenser ignition systems as used on classic and antique cars and trucks.

Our basic rebuilding service includes:

Complete dissassembly and cleaning.
Bearings, bushings are replaced as needed.
Points and condensers are replaced and synchronized.
The advance curve is checked and adjusted.
Vacuum advance units are tested and replaced as needed. (if applicable)
The complete units are set and checked with a Sun Distributor Machine.

A deluxe rebuild would include all items in the basic rebuild plus:

New tags are provided and stamped to match the original tag. (if available)
Plated parts are replated with the correct finish.
Housings are painted with urethane paint where applicable.

For worn or damaged parts not available, additional machining services are provided.

We would be happy to use your replacement parts, or will locate and supply needed parts for you.

Normal delivery time for the basic service is less than 1 week depending on the availability of parts. Plating and machining may require additional time for processing.

Please note: in order to provide you an accurate quote, we would prefer to have the distributor sent to us first. We will then inspect the unit and call with an estimate before we start.
